The team of leaders for Kingdom BUILDer Kids has spent many years devoted to the Lord and to ministry to kids. Our staff enjoys sharing their faith and knowledge with the kids in our church and community. 

Shawna Craft

Director of Children's Ministries


Bio: Shawna was born and raised in the Yuba/Sutter area. She accepted Christ as her savior in 1988. Shawna and Clarence met while attending the same church, and were married in
July 1994. They have four children, Devin, Sydney, Blake and McKenna. In 2005, Shawna returned to college and graduated in 2007 from Western Governors University with a Bachelor’s degree of Interdisciplinary Studies, and received a California Teaching Credential for Multiple subjects. Shawna was employed as a full time teacher for threes years with an internet-based independent study program, California Virtual Academy.

While attending Cornerstone, Shawna has volunteered in a variety of areas. She leads a Wednesday night Women’s Bible study, is a Sound Technician for the Worship Team, and helps out in a variety of other areas. Shawna is excited to have this opportunity to work with the children of Cornerstone.

Amy and her family have been attending Cornerstone Church for almost 3 years.  Following James's retirement with the Air Force, the family moved back home to Texas in December 2010.  Thankfully, and to our joy, James was offered a job at Beale AFB, and we welcomed them back to Cornerstone this spring. 



Jim & Daisy Phillip

AWANA Commanders & T & T Leaders


Bio: Jim and Daisy Philipp met down in sunny San Diego where Jim attended college at SDSU and Daisy, a WSU Cougar grad, was involved in the Navigator ministry on the SDSU campus.

They came north with Jim's first job and finally settled in Yuba City in 1994. They have been blessed with five wonderful children. Faith, Justice, Boaz, Esther, and Jubilee.

Jim and Daisy have been leading couples studies since they married in 1990 that have included the Family Life's Home Builders series, parenting classes, home financial management classes, and evangelistic outreaches. They have been involved in AWANA for the last ten years.

Jim is spends his time hunting, ushering at church, teaching a Men's study on Saturday Morning, and serving as an Assistant Scout Master. Daisy homeschools the four younger children. The Philipp family enjoys kayaking, biking, Slurpies and raising chickens.
